Thomas

UX/UI Consultant, Vienna

“As a UX consultant, it’s very important for me to be able to make a difference. After all, leading a UX initiative always means making changes! My core tasks at Alpega include making complex workflows in our solutions as easy as possible for all users, making sure that all Alpega products have the same look and feel, developing a new design standard, and of course sharing my knowledge with my coworkers.”

“Working in an international company like Alpega is refreshing. Interacting socially with people from so many cultures and countries is exciting – you encounter many new perspectives so you will always keep learning more this way, too. Diversity is very helpful to broaden one’s horizon!”

Matthias Kern

Product Manager, Dornbirn

“At Alpega, the product management role is tied with responsibilities and freedom - responsibility to design and implement and freedom to deliver. We don't only work on specific tasks, as we do end-to-end management and are involved in many topics. The exciting thing is not knowing sometimes what we will do - we align with customers' timelines and requirements. In alignment with the Product Engineering department, we specify priorities and tasks with them. We give insights about the business background.”

“It's an exciting journey - if you like stability and security in your day to day, this is not for you. Every day we can have different priorities, so it's always new and inter-changing. We can see a lot of different and exciting ways. You can experience growth a lot.”

Marina

Product Manager, Vienna

“How did I build my career to become a Product Manager? I was curious: I realized I love to solve problems, delve into them, and I love figuring out how to come up with solutions, to listen to people and figure out how to help them.”

Marina is one of our Product Managers, based in Vienna. Originally from Spain, she lived in other places before choosing Austria, so working in an international company with different nationalities is not something foreign to her.

“When building products, we can work closely with different cultural backgrounds and experiences - this enriches the product a lot. We consider different perspectives and exchange ideas.

You will find a lovely group of people willing to support you here. If you are interested in topics related to ESG, for example, or want to learn more about IT, this is the right place to be.”

Nico Kroll

Product Manager, Dortmund

“As a product manager, native German, I work with Austrian, Swedish, Canadian peers in our team. We closely collaborate with all peer departments in our organization, bringing many more nationalities and professional skills into the mix, when designing efficient solutions together for our customers.”

Nico is based in our Germany office, in Dortmund. This is his first job, and he explains that “I have all the challenges, awesome colleagues and great company culture that makes me look forward to every new day.”

“At Alpega and as a Product Manager, you will be focused on maximizing value for customers and growth of Alpega's products. With these two motives in mind, you will align interests of different stakeholders, external and internal, business and tech, to make the products awesome, customers happy and the world a better place".

Your day to day in the team

Learn about projects, ways of working & development opportunities with Product.

Agile Way of Working

The Product team involves stakeholders early on and validates assumptions throughout the product development process. With an agile methodology and mindset, we can respond to changing and complex requirements collaboratively.

ESG Initiative

As part of a wider focus on sustainability at Alpega, the Product team investigates how our solutions can help customers avoid emissions at every step of their logistics processes. Reporting on emissions is only a first step; the real challenges lie in reducing emissions in a sector that is notoriously difficult to decarbonize.

UX/UI Initiative

Our customers work with complex logistics processes and large amounts of data. Through our user experience and user interface initiative, we find ways to simplify their daily work in our solutions.

Interaction with Customers

Ongoing contact with customers is vital so that we develop the right features. An ideas portal, customer surveys, customer calls and customer advisory boards are just some of the channels by which the Product team interacts with our clients to get insights and feedback.
