What is the Global Hackathon about?

What are the dates of the hackathon?

The hackathon will be in June. Kick off will begin on Friday night and the hackathon will continue through the weekend ending on Sunday night at 6 pm. Schedule is subject to change on location per location basis.

We believe that AI is the future and global innovators (data scientists, roboticists, coders, neuroscientists, etc.) could solve real challenges when they get together.

Where is the hackathon?

There are 10 cities for you to attend! We will have the venues listed on each Eventbrite page when you register.

Who can participate?

Anyone and everyone interested in AI, as long as you are at least 18 years or older.  

What are the prizes?

There will be 1 prize per city per challenge. Prize TBD

What do you need to bring?

Bring whatever you need to work with. Two key things to remember: your laptop and charger. Don't forget to bring your energy and innovative thinking with you!

What kind of support can I count on during the event?

We will host webinars to cover basic tools for all the participants before and during the event. We also provide a hackathon platform where participants can submit their projects and ask questions. In terms of technology, participants can use whatever technology is available to them.

When will we learn the challenges?

Challenges will be announced on Friday night for the kick off of the event.

How will teams be put together?

Teams will be put together on Friday night after idea pitches are completed. Attendees will be able to join ideas that appeal to them. Teams of 1-8 members (maximum of 8) will be assembled. You are also welcome to join the hackathon with an existing team. 

Who has the IP to my project?

You and YOUR team own the IP to the project. If a company is interested in your solution, it is entirely up to you whether you choose to work with them and/or potentially sell the IP. In an event of IP dispute, neither BeMyApp, hackathon.com, local organizers or partners are responsible for any IP ownership disputes by participants.
