Amidst the rhythm of our daily lives, there exists a distinct group - exceptional, unassuming, and often unnoticed. They are veterans and active-duty service members. These are the souls who selflessly serve, and sometimes risk it all, for our country and us, strangers they'll never know. 

We asked you to nominate a veteran for the chance at an all-expenses-paid trip for your hero and a guest to the 2023 Armed Forces Bowl. From the dozens of entries we received, we have picked two winners:

My name is Ashley and I would love to nominate my husband Adam for the amazing opportunity. He served in the US Navy from 2006-2010. He says that he remembered watching the twin towers fall in 2001 when he was just in 8th grade and decided right then and there he wanted to serve our great country.
