Teen mental health care that puts family first.

Teenagers feel alienated by traditional mental health care options. At best, they reluctantly talk to therapists and don’t open up to their parents or peers. That’s why we created sisu — for you and your teen to grow, together.

Making teen mental health care a joint endeavor

Because we know that when they thrive, you thrive, too

Bridging the divide between you & your teenager

You want the best for your teenager. You want to understand what they’re going through and feel connected to them. But sometimes, it feels like you just don’t “get” them. That’s where sisu comes in. Our 12-week program helps you develop a shared language while your teen builds social and emotional skills. So that hard times bring you closer together, not further apart.

Mental health education in their language

The last thing your teen wants is to sit through another boring class or someone thirty years their senior telling them what to do. sisu is designed by therapists to be engaging and intuitive for teens, communicating in their native digital language — short video clips and fun interactive elements from the comfort of their own device. Now, your teen feels excited to build social and emotional resilience

Support and understanding, every step of the way

We match your teen with a college-aged Near Peer Mentor (NPM) to help them feel seen and understood by someone they relate to. Their NPM has a background in crisis prevention and can be messaged for support throughout the week. And for you? A licensed Family Support Specialist to guide your goal setting and evaluate your family’s progress, together.

Why do teens need sisu?

Young people struggle in silence

Did you know that 20% of kids ages 3 to 17 in the U.S. have a mental or emotional disorder? Research shows that mental health challenges are a leading cause of poor life outcomes in young people (HHS.gov).

Sisu can help. Our program is designed by therapists to develop emotional and social resilience in teens.

Teens need to feel seen and understood

Teenagers feel alienated and misunderstood by traditional mental health support options. Only when they feel safe and understood can they begin to learn about themselves and build integral life skills.

Sisu’s model of mental health support is relatable and human. Delivered on their device, by people they relate to.

They want to know they’re not alone

Create a culture of caring by making mental health a collective matter. Sisu encourages you to engage with your teenager’s journey and provides touchpoints to open up and cultivate vulnerable connection with them.

With Sisu, you show them you’re part of the same team, working towards the same goal.
