About Us

FunnelGuard was incorporated in April 2019 but the idea for saving revenue and reducing ad spend waste was born many months prior.

CEO and Co-Founder, Oliver Armstrong dreamed of the offering while working as the VP of Product Management at Instapage. He saw many of their marketing clients creating and optimising landing pages but who were unable to identify digital anomalies in their marketing funnels. He knew they had to be losing out on acquiring new revenue, wasting ad budget and derailing customer loyalty.

His solution was FunnelGuard: a product for performance and growth marketers. One that automatically finds leaky marketing funnels in real time so you have time to correct before they cost you revenue, drain your budget and bottom line.

With a first round investment in mid 2019 and working alongside research partners, the beta version was a success. Just a couple of months later, and FunnelGuard signed its first customers: Instapage, Typeform and Coderbyte. 


Meet our Executives

Oliver Armstrong
CEO & Co-Founder


In 2019, Oliver Armstrong capitalised on his extensive experience working in fast-paced startups to launch marketing tech company, FunnelGuard. FunnelGuard is for marketers who run multiple, highly complex online advertising campaigns and wish to see a clearer risk profile of their revenue acquisition, actionable steps for prevention mitigation, and prioritized guidance in emergency response. 

Prior to FunnelGuard, Oliver was the VP of Product Management at Instapage where he built an agile Product Development cycle from the ground up - first solo then with a talented team of product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers. He drove Instapage’s product strategy and roadmap with the mission of bringing scale to post-click optimization.


Oliver's earlier military career developed a life long passion for understanding the complexities of working in high stress and unpredictable situations. Oliver has taken this passion to his work in startups.

- Intelligence Specialist in the US Marine Corps from 2002-2007 

- Combat veteran deployed to Ar Ramadi Iraq in 2004 with Golf Company, 2nd Battalion 4th Marines in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II

- Served with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion in Okinawa Japan; 2nd Battalion 4th Marines, and 1st Marines Division G2 at Camp Pendelton California

Vinicius Freitas

CTO & Co-Founder

As FunnelGuard's CTO, Vinnie leads all aspects of engineering and technical product development, drive technical product strategy, roadmap and execution.

 

In past roles, as a key engineering leader in private companies, Vinnie helped create over $50MM in revenue across multiple markets in NA, EMEA and LATAM, while also building and managing engineering teams of up to 15 members and vendor portfolios with dozens vendors.

 

Vinnie has launched three startups including a payment services provider and a software development company in Brazil, and, now works as a Co-Founder and CTO at FunnelGuard, a MarTech startup in Silicon Valley.
