Susanne Barsoum

Susanne is the CEO of Keylime, which she built to help organizations everywhere access the best USAID experts. She’s helped dozens of organizations win and manage their first USAID award through coaching, capacity strengthening, and expert consultancies. Before Keylime she wrote and directed proposals for the Middle East Division of Chemonics International as the Business Development Director, among other roles over 12 years there.

Sarah Steller

Sarah oversees the Keylime consultant experience, leading our efforts to attract and retain talent. She also develops and manages activities to advance localization and strengthen the capacity of new USAID partners. Sarah has more than 12 years of experience in business development and project management for both international and U.S.-based programs. She specializes in proposal management, process improvement, research and analysis, and economic development.

Jordann El Dorry

Jordann leads Keylime Academy—which houses Keylime’s industry-leading training programs. She’s designed and delivered dozens of training programs to new partners to USAID and experienced implementing partners alike. Prior to joining Keylime, Jordann was a successful business development director at Chemonics International. During her 11 years at the company she consistently exceeded corporate win rate and sales targets, bringing in more than $600 million in USAID work.

Ted LeVasseur

Ted is an international development professional with over 20 years of experience designing, managing, and implementing USAID projects across a range of technical sectors. He has led development programs, business development teams, and field offices in some of the world’s most challenging and complex environments. He is experienced in all aspects of technical implementation and field office operations including start-up and mobilization, close-out, recruitment and personnel management, budgeting and financial oversight, grant design and administration, client relations, reporting, MEL, and programmatic design and implementation. Ted has a thorough knowledge of USAID, US State Department, and DFID procedures and regulations for project management and has demonstrated strong communications and liaison skills with host country government officials at all levels and representatives of international donor agencies. His field experience brings an eye towards implementation in all his business development efforts. He has lived and worked in Angola, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda, and overseen projects and proposals from the home office in dozens of countries. Ted holds a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.

Majd Abdelkhalek

Junior associate with 3+ years of relevant experience & diverse fields of expertise. Worked in administrative associate positions in different projects ranging from reconstruction aid, local government aid projects to international development consultancy operation management. Additionally, currently Attaining a Masters Degree in International Development Studies, and seeking a challenging position where I can utilize my strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in order to make a significant contribution in my field. I Proud myself in being a highly motivated and result-oriented individual and constant commitment to better myself.

Our history

Keylime was founded in 2017 with the original goal of helping anyone with their USAID proposals. It turns out a lot of people did, in fact, want help with their USAID proposals—and more. Keylime quickly grew to help an expanding community of clients with USAID proposals and project management across a range of functions including monitoring and evaluation, compliance, finance and administration, human resources, writing and communications, and proposal development. In 2019 we launched the Keylime Marketplace, the first online marketplace for USAID experts.

Where did the name Keylime come from? We are a Floridian business and have a special appreciation for the delights of Florida, the only place where key limes are found. Key limes are smaller than a regular lime, but far juicier, more flavorful, with a distinct aroma, and highly sought after by chefs. And when we learned that, we thought that’s the kind of organization we always want to be—bursting with value, full of character, and the partner of choice for our industry.
