Join the Fintech 2.0 Hackathon this April to hack solutions to pressing finance and accounting challenges faced by the Department of Finance - Abu Dhabi.

The Hackathon is open to university students who are eager to collaborate and develop new Fintech services (mobile applications, smart platforms) using IoT, AI or Blockchain technology.

This is an opportunity for you explore and exchange ideas with visionaries, and turn your bright idea into the next big thing to co-create the future of fintech—all in just 48 hours’ time!

The Abu Dhabi Department of Finance wants you to look beyond human workforce and into one powered by digital services that use IoT, AI or Blockchain to increase transactional trust, reduce fraud and risk, lower transaction costs and accelerate processing times.

The hackathon has three challenges to tackle, but it’s up to you which challenge you will take on.

IoT Challenge

Develop IoT-enabled devices to automate and simply F&A processes.

Develop AI-based solutions for the DOF to address their pain points by applying natural language processing, content summarization, computer vision and other technologies that will allow them automatically process a range of documents.

Integrate blockchain technology into the F&A processes of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance with smart applications or platforms to increase transactional trust, reduce fraud and risk, lower transaction costs and accelerate processing times.

Students from the EMEA, as well as international students

What is the allowable team size?

Teams may have [3-5] members. No matter the number of teammates, make sure to cover all hats: development, design (UI/UX), business and pitch. One person can wear several hats!
